Metadata Catalogue
The metadata catalogue is the foundation for improving management, sharing and access to
soil
contamination data within the ISLANDR project. The development of the catalogue has benefitted from
collaborations within the ISLANDR project and with external initiatives, like other Mission Soil
projects (SoilWise and ARAGORN). SoilWise catalogue is weekly updated with the latest metadata
information added to the ISLANDR metadata catalogue. Thus, ISLANDR metadata can be accessed also through
the SoilWise catalogue.
The ISLANDR metadata catalogue is built on the GeoNetwork platform and hosted on GreenDecision servers.
It has been designed to meet international standards while addressing the needs of stakeholders and
researchers working on soil health and remediation. While it has been developed primarily for internal
use, it is designed to support external users as well in the future and is publicly available. The
catalogue will continue to evolve, and it will be updated by November 2025. More information on the
